BLD
At Himalayan Planet Adventures, we prioritize the well-being of our trekkers, especially when it comes to altitude sickness. That's why we allocate a day for acclimatization in Namche Bazaar, allowing our bodies to adjust to the high elevations of the Everest region. However, this isn't a day of idleness; instead, we remain active, aiding the acclimatization process. During this time, there are plenty of engaging activities to partake in. You can explore the Sherpa Museum, delving deeper into the remarkable culture of these resilient people. If you happen to be in Namche Bazaar on a Saturday, don't miss the vibrant weekly market day, where Sherpas showcase a plethora of goods, ranging from local produce and baked treats to exquisitely crafted handicrafts. For those seeking a more adventurous endeavor, consider hiking to the summit of the hill to reach Everest View Hotel, offering an unparalleled vista of Mt. Everest. This excursion typically takes about 4 hours. Alternatively, you can opt to visit Thame village, renowned for its natural beauty, and enjoy a leisurely lunch before returning to Namche Bazaar for the night. Today, we can undertake a hike to the summit of Nangkartshang peak View Point, offering a spectacular panorama of snow-capped peaks juxtaposed against the verdant expanse of the Imja Valley below. Or an optional visit to Chhukhung awaits. BlD
A visit to Everest Base Camp wouldn't be complete without a brief ascent to the summit of Mt. Kalapathar. While EBC itself offers limited views of Mt. Everest due to obstructing peaks, the two-hour climb to Mt. Kalapathar rewards trekkers with unparalleled vistas of the Himalayan giants. From its lofty peak, one can capture breathtaking photographs of the majestic mountains, immortalizing the jewels of the Himalayas in all their splendor. Despite being a trekking peak, Mt. Kalapathar presents a manageable climb, making it accessible to most adventurers.
